Lee's Premium Under Gravel Filters are designed to provide efficient and effective biological filtration for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Utilizing a unique process that circulates water flow through the gravel bed, these filters support the growth of beneficial bacteria, which in turn helps maintain a healthy ammonia balance and natural detoxification within your aquarium. The larger plate sizes reduce the number of plates required, and the added strength of the UGF plates makes this filter highly preferred by saltwater aquarists. To maximize water quality, it is recommended to use a power filter in conjunction with the under gravel filter. Please note that an air pump is required for operation and is not included with the filter.
